John Deer training class

Gator wars

The toy of the moment is a John Deer Gator that is battery powered and can be driven around if it was working. The Gas pedal is stuck and it is not working so it is daddy powered instead of battery powered. The boys love this thing and fight over who get to drive, who sits in the passenger seat, and who rides in the bed. When it is just our three boys this is easy enough to sort out but this neighborhood is lousy with kids and there is always one more messing up the proportions. The gator will come out of it’s side yard lock down for a bit each day and then return there when the fights become more than I can handle. The amount of time the gator is out varies each day depending on how many kids are involved, how much sleep I got the night before, who played in the 4:30 AM game in the World Cup, important factors like that. We are going to get the gator fixed soon but the size of it and the lack of the a car big enough to take it in have made that difficult. Actually the John Deer Dealer is the place to fix this thing according to guy at the garage sale that we bought it from. Getting it fixed will take care of the daddy is too tired to push aspect of the fighting but I think we will run into a lot more issues with who is driving it. Now when I get to tired to keep pushing them they fight over who sits in the drivers seat while the toy just sits there, imagine the fights when it actually works.

  1. Color coordinate each seat and get an egg timer. Everyone picks a color from the bucket for their seat and the timer is set. When the timer goes off everyone moves to a different seat. What do you think? We learn colors, time management and sharing all at once.
