Land’s End Polo review and giveaway for Father’s Day

Last week while getting ready for our trip Beautiful asked me if I had packed yet. Since we weren’t due to leave for a couple of days I reminded her that I am not a crazy person and therefore would wait to pack until the night before we left. She had the boy’s bag packed up a good week before the trip and her clothes had been out in stacks as she whittled down her options for the final cut. I thought she was going to post a list on the gym door of the clothes that made the team and a pair of shorts was going to be nervously going down the list with tears welling up wondering if there was some sort of mistake. “Can I just pack your bag for you?” she finally asked and we ended up where both of us knew this conversation was going from the beginning.

When it comes to clothes I feel like I have a pretty good eye for what looks good and what works for me but I often get the “you’re going to wear that shirt?” comments from Beautiful. I prefer the t-shirts or cowboy button ups and she prefers the polo and dress shirts and more often than not I go with what she likes. She’s got a pretty good track record when it comes to the aesthetic, and since she’s the one I still want to impress it’s good to know when she thinks I look good. When I got the word that Land’s End wanted to send me a polo shirt to wear and review I knew I had to take it. I picked the light blue number knowing it brings out my blue eyes and waited by the door for the shirt to arrive. Not only does the shirt look good on my it felt nice and when beautiful got home she noticed right away. I’m not saying that anyone who gets these shirts will have the same results but this being my workplace I felt like I needed to file a sexual harassment claim with HR.

Usually I’m a Polo shirt on the golf course only type of guy but with summer picking up steam there are a few times when looking workplace casual is called for and this shirt is just the right speed for those situations. It feels sturdy and well built but soft and comfortable. With Father’s day around the corner this is a good gift to add to the list for any dad. Knowing that we look good and that our partner’s think so too is what any dad is looking for and if you would like a chance to win a shirt for yourself or some one you love then be sure to enter the contest below. One lucky commenter will win a free Land’s End Polo shirt just for doing one or more of the easy steps:

  • Leave me a comment on how good I look in the shirt and why you would like one. Flattery will get you far!
  • Drop a note to your friends on Twitter or Facebook letting them know about this post and giveaway. Just leave another comment that your tweeted or posted.
  • Head over to OWTK’s giveaway and ask him why he didn’t include a picture of him with the shirt, is he worried he doesn’t look as good as I do in my shirt. I can understand that sentiment but it’s not a competition. Tell him that for me.

Winner will be picked Wednesday June 22 so make sure you enter.

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Dad Central Consulting on behalf of Lands’ End and received a polo shirt to facilitate my review, one to giveaway, and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

I love that Beautiful dresses you, we’re guilty of the reverse. My hubby dresses me, as I’m the SAHParent, and jeans/capris are the name of the game to keep up with a 5 1/2 yr old and 3 yr old.

But you sure do look snazzy, and my dad would love a new shirt…maybe that kelly green one?

I get my fair share of input on what she wears but usually when she is out of ideas. She’ll have me pick out an out fit and then change it slightly.

I’m going to take you at your word and that I will get sexually harassed in the workplace (I work from home). I’d like to win the Bright Leaf one…

Hey I’d love a shirt, since becoming a stay at home dad who works from home during nap time I now exist in world of conference calls, emails and couriered documents and no longer see clients face to face – Therefore in the budget my clothing allowance has been hacked and applied to my wifes… I think this is the sole reason she wanted me to be home now! LOL
Thanks in advance for the new shirt – I look good in reds, burnt orange, blues ah hell you pick!
