Last week while getting ready for our trip Beautiful asked me if I had packed yet. Since we weren’t due to leave for a couple of days I reminded her that I am not a crazy person and therefore would wait to pack until the night before we left. She had the boy’s bag packed up a good week before the trip and her clothes had been out in stacks as she whittled down her options for the final cut. I thought she was going to post a list on the gym door of the clothes that made the team and a pair of shorts was going to be nervously going down the list with tears welling up wondering if there was some sort of mistake. “Can I just pack your bag for you?” she finally asked and we ended up where both of us knew this conversation was going from the beginning.
When it comes to clothes I feel like I have a pretty good eye for what looks good and what works for me but I often get the “you’re going to wear that shirt?” comments from Beautiful. I prefer the t-shirts or cowboy button ups and she prefers the polo and dress shirts and more often than not I go with what she likes. She’s got a pretty good track record when it comes to the aesthetic, and since she’s the one I still want to impress it’s good to know when she thinks I look good. When I got the word that Land’s End wanted to send me a polo shirt to wear and review I knew I had to take it. I picked the light blue number knowing it brings out my blue eyes and waited by the door for the shirt to arrive. Not only does the shirt look good on my it felt nice and when beautiful got home she noticed right away. I’m not saying that anyone who gets these shirts will have the same results but this being my workplace I felt like I needed to file a sexual harassment claim with HR.
Usually I’m a Polo shirt on the golf course only type of guy but with summer picking up steam there are a few times when looking workplace casual is called for and this shirt is just the right speed for those situations. It feels sturdy and well built but soft and comfortable. With Father’s day around the corner this is a good gift to add to the list for any dad.
